२५/ १० /२०११ , मंगलवार ,कार्तिक कृष्ण चतुर्दशी के दिन , नरक चतुर्दशी का पर्व मनाया जाता है ... यह पर्व दीपावली के पर्व का द्वित्य दिन नरक चतुर्दशी या रूप चतुर्दशी के नाम से मनाया जाता है !... यह दिन भगवान् महावीर के निर्वाण का दिन भी है !
इस दिन को छोटी दिवाली भी कहते हैं ! दीप प्रज्वालित, संध्या को पूजन उपरान्त करने का विधान है ! माँ लक्ष्मी एवं गणपति देव की उपासना करने के पश्चात दीप प्रज्वलित करें एवं घर के मंदिर, कुलदेवता/देवी ,मुख्य द्वार , रसोईघर , तुलसी के समक्ष दीप प्रज्वलित ज़रूर करें !
प्रातः काल सूर्योदय के पश्चात तेल उबटन मालिश कर स्नान करने का विधान भी मान्य है ! ऐसा करें से माना जाता है की समस्त विप्पतियों से मुक्ति मिलती है और सेहत , रोग दोष आदि भी दूर हो जाते हैं !
स्नान के पश्चात भगवान् विष्णु एवं भगवान् कृष्ण की आराधना करनी चाहिए ! मंदिर में जा कर दान पुण्य आदि का काम अवश्य करें !
